11 MSMEs hailed as Regional Productivity Olympians
A total of 11 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Caraga were awarded as winners of the Regional Productivity Olympics on May 16, 2025 in Cabadbaran City.
The awarding ceremony was graced by RTWPB-XIII Chaiperson and DOLE-XI Regional Director Atty. Jason P. Balais. Cabadbaran City Administrator Francis Denise C. Amante, Cabadbaran PESO Manager Estilito O. De Vera, DOLE Field Office Heads, and DOLE officials were also present during the ceremony.
Atty. Balais expressed his appreciation to the MSMEs who joined the 2025 Productivity Olympics. “This year’s Productivity Olympics awarded the MSMEs based on their productivity improvement programs, productivity-based incentives and other incentives given to employees, retention and expansion of employees, and even the social inclusion and gender sensitivity related activities of the employer,” said Atty. Balais.
The 2025 Productivity Olympics are divided into three sectors: agribusiness, industry, and service, and are based on the asset size of the business establishment.
The winners of Agribusiness are the Alameda Farm Inc. and Amamio Farm Products for small category; and, Janicahh Foods Corporation and JCA Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Multi-Purpose Cooperative (JARBEMCO) for medium category.
For Industry, Sarah Guarte Cakes and Pastries Shop won under the micro category, Kirk’s Bread and Pastry House for small category, and Fel Bakeshop and Allen Stick & Trading for medium category.
For Service, Tabon Secondary Teachers and Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (TASETEMCO) won in the small category; Southway College of Technology (SOCOTECH) for medium category, and VCDU Prince Hotel for medium category.
RTWPB-XIII Vice Chairperson and Regional Director of the Department of Trade and Industry Gay A. Tidalgo, expressed her gratitude to all of the participants and awardees.
The Productivity Olympics, launched in 2008, is an advocacy program of the NWPC and the RTWPBs to promote productivity and quality and to showcase the best productivity improvement programs and practices of MSMEs nationwide. The objective of the competition is to promote productivity and quality, encourage healthy and positive competition, and bridge opportunities for expansion and growth of enterprises by showcasing the best productivity improvement initiatives of MSMEs nationwide.
