RTWPB-V, in partnership with DOLE Sorsogon Provincial Field Office and the Association of Sorsogon Tourism-Related Establishments conducted a LEAN Management Training in Sorsogon City on 11 June 2025.
The training was attended by 34 representatives from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) within the local tourism sector. They learned practical tools aimed at eliminating non-value-adding activities, optimizing resources, and ultimately improving the quality of services offered to customers.
Mr. Manny Duran, President of the Association of Sorsogon Tourism-Related Establishments, expressed his enthusiasm over the initiative, describing the activity as “a big step forward in making Sorsogon’s tourism enterprises more competitive.”
“By applying LEAN management principles, we can improve not just productivity, but also the quality of service we provide to our guests,” Mr. Duran said.
Ms. Francia Ocmer, Board Secretary of RTWPB V emphasized the Board’s commitment to empowering MSMEs through productivity enhancement programs.
“RTWPB V continues to champion initiatives that help business, especially MSMEs, grow sustainably. Lean Management is one of the many tools we promote to help enterprises maximize efficiency while maintain quality service,” Board Secretary Ocmer said.
