CAR-based MSMEs feted in Baguio City
Recognized for their achievements in productivity improvement and practices, nine outstanding MSMEs in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) were honored during the 2025 Regional Productivity Olympics awarding in Baguio City on 17 June 2025.
This year’s winners were GA F2C Café for Micro Enterprise (Agribusiness), The Red Soil Coffee Manufacturing for Micro Enterprise (Industry), Sahei Core Technologies for Micro Enterprise (Service), Gift of Grace Food Manufacturing Corp. and Tita Lea’s Food Specialties for Small Enterprise (Industry), Casaldo Lyndon Bacmor Security Agency and Kamimura Botika for Small Enterprise (Service), and YMCA of the City of Baguio Inc. and CARCC Multipurpose Cooperative for Medium Enterprise (Service).
DOLE-CAR Regional Director Imelda Romanillos, welcomed the MSME champions for their accomplishments and urged them to continue to thrive and serve as beacons of inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs across the region.
“Today we celebrate MSMEs that have demonstrated excellence in business operations, innovation, and productivity improvement—proving themselves as the lifeblood of the regional economy,” Regional Director Romanillos said.
Each awardee received a trophy and token as a symbol of their remarkable contributions to regional productivity and economic development.
A short audio-visual presentation showcased the inspiring journeys of the awardees, featuring their best practices in operations, innovation, and productivity improvements.
DTI-CAR Regional Director and RTWPB Vice-Chairperson Atty. Raymond Panhon, DEPDEV-CAR OIC- Regional Director and Vice-Chairperson Apollo Edwin Pagano, Management Representatives Engr. Alfonso Lao and Mr. Juan Johnny Dela Cruz, and Labor Representatives Atty. Milton Balagtey and Mr. Dominador Sotelo were also present during the ceremony.
RTWPB-CAR Board Secretary Myrene A. Bosleng, DOLE Assistant Regional Director Atty. Olivia Obrero-Samson, COA Auditors, and Productivity Expert Ms. Jane Suyatan (Manager, BBCCC) were also present during the event.
The biennial PO aims to promote productivity and quality, encourage healthy and positive competition, and bridge opportunities for expansion and growth of enterprises by showcasing the best productivity improvement initiatives of MSMEs nationwide.
After undergoing regional and national screening, a tripartite body headed by DOLE Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma and assisted by representatives from the labor management and government sectors and a productivity and quality expert will select the 2025 PO national winners.
