RTWPB-XII holds Design Thinking training

June 25, 2025

The RTWPB-XII and the National Conciliation and Mediation Board XII held a productivity training on “Design Thinking: A Tool for Enterprise Productivity” as part of its Area-Wide Convergence on 18 June 2025 in General Santos City.

Forty-five participants from 25 companies across Region XII attended the training.

The training on “Design Thinking: A Tool for Enterprise Productivity” guides MSMEs in learning and applying human-centered techniques to solve problems more creatively and innovatively.

During the training, participants were guided through the five phases of design thinking—Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test, and learned how to apply them to business operations.

The discussion was led by Atty. Faye Marie M. Sabate, Chief of the Technical and Training Services Division of NWPC, introduced design thinking as a powerful, people-centered approach to solving workplace challenges.

“Productivity is not just about doing more—it’s about doing what matters, and design thinking helps us figure that out. Real innovation happens when we understand the people we’re trying to help, whether it’s customers or employees,” said Atty. Sabate.

NCMB XII OIC-Regional Director Rene A. Sabornido thanked RTWPB-XII for its support.
