RTWPB-XI awards regional Productivity Olympics winners in Davao region

Davao City, Philippines – RTWPB-XI awards nine (9) micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) regional winners of the 2025 Productivity Olympics on 23 June 2025 in Davao. 

For agribusiness sector, Malagos Food Inc. won under the small enterprise category. 

For industry sector, Papat’s Food Products and Shechem Marketing won under the small enterprise category. On the other hand, Apo ni Lola Durian Delicacies, DAVECO Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Cooperative, Manuel Guianga and Sirib Growers and Employees Multipurpose Cooperative (MAGSIGE MPC), and Woodworks Collections Inc. all won under the medium enterprise category. 

For service sector, InfusionDepot Aesthetic and Wellness Clinic won under the micro enterprise category, while Amaranta Suites won under the small category. 

During the ceremony, a short profile of each establishment was presented, along with their main products, innovations and productivity improvement programs. After receiving their awards, a representative from each MSME shared an inspirational message to everyone. 

The criteria for determining regional winners were presented during the event. Ms. Cecilia Briones, Industry Expert for Davao region, was recognized and presented with a Certificate of Recognition for her invaluable contribution as part of the Regional Screening Committee. 

“Our regional winners have demonstrated that productivity is not solely about profits, but about a genuine commitment to improve systems, empower workers, and uplift communities,” said DOLE-XI Regional Director and RTWPB-XI Chairperson Atty. Randolf C. Pensoy. 

Mr. Renzei Mikhail Talaboc, Chief Administrative Officer of Woodworks Collections, Inc., in his heartfelt message, shared that “this prestigious award [being a regional winner] inspires us, too, to do better and to be more employee-centered. Since we joined the Productivity Olympics, our day-to-day transactions have gained more meaning.” 

The hailed regional winners will represent the Davao region and will be endorsed to NWPC to compete with regional winners of the other regions. The national winners of the 2025 Productivity Olympics will be announced in October 2025, the Productivity Month. 

The Productivity Olympics, launched in 2008, is an advocacy program and biennial competition of the NWPC and the RTWPBs to promote productivity and quality and to showcase the best productivity improvement programs and practices of MSMEs nationwide. (Kenneth Paul J. Recaña)
