RTWPB-NCR-conducted an orientation on Wage Order No. NCR-26 for the Valenzuela City Workers Affairs Office in Valenzuela City on 07 August 2025.
Mr. Jerome Yanson, Director and Concurrent Board Secretary of RTWPB-NCR, provided an in-depth overview of the new wage order and addressed the issue of wage distortion—a common concern that arises following wage order issuances.
Wage distortion occurs when a mandated wage increase significantly narrows or eliminates pay differentials between different groups of workers within an enterprise. This situation can lead to perceptions of inequity, decreased morale, and strained labor-management relations, factors that can adversely affect productivity and enterprise stability if left unaddressed.
This activity marks the second in a series of wage orientation sessions to be conducted in partnership with the Valenzuela City Workers Affairs Office.
These sessions aim to equip both employers and employees with the necessary knowledge to comply with the latest wage issuance, while promoting continued labor compliance and fostering harmonious labor-management relations. (Joel Leonard M. Santarina)
