RTWPB-X highlights collaboration and productivity in September

The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB)-X continues to uphold its mandate of promoting productivity improvement programs among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Throughout September 2025, the Board strengthened its partnerships with local agencies, academic institutions, and local government units to deliver impactful productivity training sessions across Northern Mindanao.

Empowering Students with Productivity Knowledge

08–09 September 2025 | Cagayan de Oro City

At the request of PHINMA – Cagayan de Oro College (PHINMA–COC), RTWPB-10 facilitated a Wage and Productivity Orientation for 460 students.

During the sessions, Ms. Maria Margarita R. Manaug, Information Officer I of RTWPB-10, emphasized the importance of fair wages and highlighted how productivity improvement and technical assistance programs can boost both worker performance and enterprise competitiveness.

 

 

 

Promoting Mental Health and Workplace Productivity

09 September 2025 | El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental

In partnership with the Employees’ Compensation Commission Regional Extension Unit (ECC REU)-10 and in coordination with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of LGU-El Salvador City, RTWPB-10 conducted a training on “Improving Productivity through Better Mental Health” at the City Hall Conference Room.

The activity, led by Atty. Ma. Vergel B. Walag, Board Secretary VI of RTWPB-10, and Ms. Stella Mae D. Obice, Information Officer II of ECC REU-10, engaged around 30 MSMEs. The training raised awareness of mental health’s vital role in productivity and provided information on the Employees’ Compensation Program (ECP).

 

 

Following the session, the RTWPB-10 Secretariat paid a courtesy call to Mayor Edgar S. Lignes, joined by Ms. Connie S. Lapad, PESO-El Salvador Manager, to express gratitude for the fruitful collaboration.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Boosting MSME Productivity in Barangay Macasandig

12 September 2025 | Cagayan de Oro City

RTWPB-10, in partnership with the LGU of Barangay Macasandig, rolled out the Productivity Toolbox Training on ISTIV Productivity Awareness Program (ISTIV PAP) at the Barangay Session Hall.

The training, attended by 20 MSMEs and LGU representatives, introduced participants to the ISTIV values framework—Industrious, Systematic, Time-conscious, Innovative, and Values-driven—designed to transform workers into a more productive workforce.

The session was facilitated by Mr. Nicolo Lorenzo P. Cano, Administrative Assistant III of RTWPB-10, through interactive activities that made productivity concepts practical and engaging.

Barangay Kagawad Eric Waban, representing Barangay Captain Mario B. Bolanio, expressed support for the initiative, noting its timeliness with Barangay Macasandig’s fiesta celebration—an opportunity for MSMEs to gather, learn, and strengthen their enterprises.

 

Extending Support through DOLE Adjustment Measures Program (AMP)

13 September 2025 | Misamis Oriental

Through the Adjustment Measures Program (AMP), the Department of Labor and Employment Region 10 (DOLE-10) released a total of ₱2,604,007.25 in subsidies to six project proponents in Misamis Oriental, including two MSMEs assisted by RTWPB-10: Seabeth Food Processing and Fruity Pop Food Products.

The check awarding was held during the “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat” event at the Provincial Capitol Grounds, led by Governor Juliette Uy. The ceremony was attended by government officials, agency partners, livelihood beneficiaries, and members of the public sector.

The RTWPB-10’s September initiatives highlight its unwavering commitment to fostering workplace productivity, employee well-being, and MSME growth in Region 10. By engaging students, enterprises, and local communities, the RTWPB-X continues to build a more productive and resilient workforce for Northern Mindanao.
