RTWPB-CALABARZON, in partnership with DOLE-Batangas, successfully held a face-to-face wage orientation in Lipa City, Batangas on October 14, 2025.
Over 200 participants composed of employers, HR practitioners, and workers from various establishments in the province participated in the orientation which tackled the new minimum wage increase in Region IV-A as well as wage exemption and wage distortion.
Mr. Gener C. Rivera, Information Technology Officer I, presented the details of the wage order and explained the procedure for filing wage exemption. Meanwhile, Ms. Khelly Ann Victoriano discussed the concept of wage distortion, emphasizing that establishments are mandated to correct any distortion that may arise following a wage increase. She also highlighted that employers and workers may mutually develop and agree on a correction formula based on their specific needs and circumstances.
The sessions aimed to guide establishments and employees toward fair and proper wage implementation, ensuring harmony and compliance across workplaces.
