September 24, 2025

Six micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from Region II participated in the second batch of the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) Digital Transformation Development Program on September 15–19, 2025 at Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in Makati City.

The MSMEs were Top Achievers Private School Incorporated, 3SHERS Food Products, Motorline Trading Inc., First Isabela Cooperative Bank (FICO), Cagayan Appliance Center, and the Cooperative Bank of Cagayan.

The five-day training is designed to equip MSMEs with the knowledge and skills to embrace digital transformation strategies, strengthen their business operations, and improve overall productivity.

Beyond introducing technology tools, the training highlights sustainable integration of digital processes, enabling enterprises to enhance customer reach, streamline operations, and maintain competitiveness in an evolving market landscape.

Two other MSMEs, namely Multicuisine Corp. and AZ Automotive Solutions are set to attend the third batch scheduled on September 29–October 3, 2025.

Atty. Lovely Mei R. Dela Cruz, OIC-Board Secretary of RTWPB-II, welcomed the participation of Cagayan Valley-based MSMEs as a direct benefit of actively joining the Productivity Olympics and participating in productivity training programs of RTWPB-II.

“This reflects the strong commitment of Region 2 MSMEs to pursue continuous improvement and innovation. For RTWPB-II, this initiative is more than just training, it is a strategic investment in the digital future of MSMEs, ensuring that Region 2 enterprises not only keep pace but thrive in the digital economy,” Atty. Dela Cruz said.

Participants are required to complete the course, craft a digitalization action plan, and later demonstrate learning through its implementation, with DOLE monitoring progress for potential Adjustment Measures Program (AMP) support.

One of the participants, Ms. Anne Bernese Dy Gonzales, co-owner of 3SHERS Food Products, thanked RTWPB-II for giving their staff a chance to participate in the training.

“Thank you for having faith in us and for helping us grow. You are one of the reasons why Big Brother Corniks is thriving na madala sa bawat tahanan ang aming products. Nakakataba ng puso and a true Filipino, empowering each other. We really appreciate your support and guidance,” Ms. Gonzales said.

Mr. GT Ventic Jr. of First Isabela Cooperative Bank (FICO), likewise, expressed enthusiasm in putting their learnings from the training to practice.

“From hands-on workshops to inspiring keynotes, every session pushed me to rethink how we can harness technology for greater impact. A heartfelt thank you to FICOBank for championing continuous learning, to DOLE for investing in the growth of mid-career leaders, and to AIM for delivering world-class facilitation and discussions. I’m excited to bring these new insights into my work at FICOBank—driving digital strategy, fostering innovation, and creating more inclusive solutions for our customers,” Mr. Ventic said.
