RTWPB-II conducts advocacy and employers’ activities in Cagayan and Santiago City

RTWPB-II conducted two simultaneous activities in Cagayan Province and Santiago City on 10 December 2025 that promoted the rights of domestic workers and fostered awareness about latest wage orders.

In Cagayan, RTWPB-II, in partnership with the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) Region II, conducted an orientation on the Kasambahay Module at the Cagayan Provincial Capitol as part of the government’s 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW).

Ms. Angelie Taborico of RTWPB-II discussed the rights and entitlements of kasambahays, the characteristics of a productive individual, and the importance of applying these values in domestic work. She also provided safety and health guidance for household work, emphasizing injury prevention, and safe working conditions.

The discussion also highlighted the provisions of Wage Order No. 02-DW-07, which sets the monthly minimum wage of kasambahays in Region II at ₱6,500.

In Santiago City, Ms. Shayne Naree Beltran of RTWPB-II discussed salient features of Wage Order No. RTWPB-2-24 in an Employers’ Forum including guidelines on wage distortion correction, wage exemptions, and the application for facility evaluation.
More than 70 business owners and management representatives.

RTWPB-II also briefed participants about its productivity trainings and technical assistance programs offered aimed at helping establishments improve efficiency, competitiveness, and compliance with labor standards.
