RTWPB-NCR holds consultation and FGD for domestic workers

RTWPB-NCR, in coordination with the Parañaque City Public Employment Services Office (PESO) and Parañaque City Mayor’s Office, conducted a consultation and focus group discussion (FDG) for NCR kasambahays (domestic workers) at the Parañaque City Hall on December 14, 2025.

Mr. Jerome Yanson, Director and Concurrent Board Secretary of RTWPB-NCR, presented Philippine Statistics Authority data from the 2019 Kasambahay Labor Force survey and explained the importance of using data-driven decision-making as the core basis for minimum wage determination for the Private Sector Workers and Kasambahays.

Ms. Borja of RTWPB-NCR facilitated in-depth orientation on the Republic Act 10361 or the Kasambahay Law with a particular focus on the rights and social benefits of kasambahays. She also provided training on productivity improvement for kasambahays.

Ms. Amelia Martin, PESO Manager of Parañaque City, thanked kasambahays for their important contributions to society during her welcome address. She also proposed income-boosting methods through programs of the RTWPB-NCR, National Wages and Productivity Commission, and Department of Labor and Employment.

During the FDG, key points raised were the average wages, work hours, social benefits, and employment contracts. The 2025 Survey for Kasambahays was also presented. RTWPB-NCR staff assisted present kasambahays in completing the survey.
