RTWPB–Bicol Announces Schedule of Public Consultations on Proposed Wage Adjustment

The RTWPB–Bicol announces the schedule of Public Consultations on the Proposed Wage Adjustment across selected provinces in the Bicol Region.

The consultations aim to gather inputs, position papers, and recommendations from workers, employers, and other stakeholders as part of the Board’s wage determination process.

The public consultation schedules are as follows:

Public hearing schedules for Camarines Sur and Albay Province will be announced soon.

“The public consultations are vital in ensuring a transparent, inclusive, and balanced wage-setting process that considers prevailing economic conditions, workers’ welfare, and business sustainability,” says Imelda F. Gatinao, DOLE RO5 Regional Director and RTWPB V Chairperson.

“The Board places high importance on the inputs and position papers that may be submitted by stakeholders, as these will serve as key references in the wage determination process,” according to Francia N. Ocmer, Board Secretary VI.

Clarine P. Tobias, Management Representative, also shares, “The consultations provide employers an opportunity to express concerns and share data relevant to business viability and regional competitiveness.”

Meanwhile Mr. Lopito R. Mendoza, Labor Representative, stresses, ““Active and meaningful participation of workers remains crucial in shaping fair and just wage policies that uphold labor rights and promote decent work,”
