RTWPB II Conducts 7S of Good Housekeeping Training for Health City Medical Center of Isabela, Inc.

January 21, 2026

The RTWPB-II, through Labor and Employment Officer III Ms. Shayne Naree Beltran and Officer‑in‑Charge Atty. Lovely Mei Dela Cruz, successfully conducted a Firm-Level 7S of Good Housekeeping Training for Health City Medical Center of Isabela, Inc. on January 8 and 9, 2026, at Roxas, Isabela.

A total of 53 personnel, composed of support staff, finance and administrative employees, and various members of the medical team, participated in the two‑day capacity‑building activity. To ensure meaningful engagement and practical application, the participants were divided into two batches, each undergoing a structured series of workshops and discussions led by RTWPB II.

The training emphasized the integration of the 7S of Good Housekeeping—Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety, and Spirit—into the daily operations of the hospital. As a facility that handles critical medical procedures and fast-paced patient care, Health City Medical Center stands to greatly benefit from organized, efficient, and safety-centered systems.

RTWPB II underscored how each element of the 7S framework reinforces the hospital’s mission of delivering high-quality healthcare. Proper sorting and systematic organization of essential supplies enable faster response times, particularly during emergencies. Regular cleaning and standardization strengthen infection control measures, while the principle of sustaining good practices ensures long‑term discipline and accountability among staff. The added focus on safety and team spirit promotes a harmonious and hazard‑free environment for both patients and healthcare workers.

One of the participants, Chief Nurse Maria Florable Y. Besa, underscored the relevance of 7S in strengthening hospital operations.

“The 7S of Good Housekeeping is crucial in the hospital setting. It promotes efficiency, safety, and a positive work environment—allowing us to provide better, faster, and more organized patient care,” she said.

The training concluded with practical demonstrations and action-planning sessions, where participants identified specific areas within the hospital that could be improved using the 7S methodology.

RTWPB II reaffirmed its commitment to supporting healthcare institutions in Region II through continuous education and productivity enhancement programs. The activity marks another milestone in RTWPB II’s advocacy of cultivating a culture of excellence, safety, and productivity in workplaces across Cagayan Valley. (Francis Joseph M. Reyes)
