The RTWPB-Cordillera Administrative Region (RTWPB-CAR) conducted an online wage orientation on January 27, 2026 gathering participants from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), private-sector employees, and domestic workers across the region.
The session was led by Atty. Carolina Lim-Gamban, and facilitated by Ms. Agnes Lampuyas, both from RTWPB-CAR.
Participants received a clear and detailed overview of Wage Order Nos. CAR-24 and CAR-DW-07 or the mandated minimum wage rates for private-sector workers and domestic workers in CAR. The discussion aimed to help stakeholders better understand the provisions, coverage, and proper implementation of the wage adjustments.
The session also tackled the concept of wage distortion—its definition, causes, and the guidelines for correction that may arise after the implementation of a new wage order.
This online initiative highlights RTWPB-CAR’s commitment to promoting compliance with labor standards and ensuring stakeholders are well-informed about wage policies. By strengthening awareness among both employers and workers, the Board aims to foster fair wage practices and support harmonious labor-management relations across the Cordillera Region.
