Central Luzon-based MSMEs shine in 2025 Regional Productivity Olympics

June 27, 2025

Nine micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Central Luzon were recognized by RTWPB-III for their exceptional commitment to productivity and employee empowerment at the 2025 Regional Productivity Olympics Awarding Ceremony at the City of San Fernando, Pampanga on 24 June 2025.

DOLE Region III Director Geraldine M. Panlilio, also RTWPB-III Chairperson, acknowledged the efforts of MSMEs to grow and sustain their businesses, all while prioritizing the well-being of their employees.

“Another realization is that most of you really went through difficulties, medyo nahirapan kayo, but you still emerged as winners, because you have the heart for it, and when you have the heart for people, you will retain them,” Director Panlilio said.

“One of the winners na nagsabi, ‘when the going gets tough, you are the tough businessman,’ and we appreciate you for that. So we hope that whatever we bring to the national competition in October, we bring our hearts and we bring our souls because we have faith. We may be rewarded, we may not be rewarded, but we are recognized as one of the best,” she added.

This year’s winners were Zennor Hydroponics Farm (Micro) and Diaspora Resort (Micro) for the Agribusiness sector; Bayler View Hotel Corporation (Small), Beeanzon Convenience Store (Small), and Zoobic Safari Corporation (Medium) for the Service Sector; and DLR Foods Supply Trading (Micro), San Vicente’s Homemade Kakanin (Micro), Aiza’s Sweets (Small), and Bali Champion Bottlers Inc. (Medium) for the Industry Sector.

The nine MSMEs that won during the Regional PO will be endorsed for the national screening with the winners to be announced in October 2025.

The Productivity Olympics is a national biennial competition organized by the NWPC to recognize MSMEs with outstanding productivity improvement practices that promote decent employment, inclusive growth, and enterprise development.

The regional awardees become official nominees for the national Productivity Olympics, where they will compete against the best of the best from across the country.

This year’s entries are mainly evaluated based on two key criteria: Business Excellence (65%) and Employee Engagement and Empowerment (35%).
