Empowering Micro Establishments through Free Training to Employers and Employees

In a bid to enhance the knowledge and compliance of micro establishments, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-I spearheaded a free training program to both employers and employees of Bacnotan, La Union, on April 29, 2025 at the 3rd Floor Public Market Hall at Bacnotan, La Union. The Technical and Advisory Visit (TAV) aims to capacitate workers in small businesses on key areas such as General Labor Standards, Occupational Safety and Health, Wages, and Productivity.
As part of this initiative, Atty. Romina Boado- Cabrillos, Board Secretary of the RTWPB-I presented and discussed the programs and activities of the agency. She also conducted Technical Assistance on Performance-Based Incentive System (PBIS) to advocate gainsharing to employers and employees by encouraging productivity, efficiency, and shared accountability. Through PBIS, businesses/organizations are motivated to implement performance metrics and incentive structures that directly reward both management and personnel based on the achievement of specific business/organizational goals.
