MIMAROPA MSMEs gear up for digital transformation

October 6, 2025

RTWPB-MIMAROPA, DOLE MIMAROPA, and selected MSME beneficiaries participated in the Baseline Assessment and Digital Transformation Development Program for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) held on August 26-28 and September 15-19, 2025, at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in Makati City.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in partnership with the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE), National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC), and AIM, reflects DOLE’s continued efforts to promote digital transformation and strengthen the capacities of MSMEs under the Adjustment Measures Program (AMP).

Participants were introduced to digital marketing, financial technologies, project management, workforce systems, cybersecurity, data privacy, AI ethics, and business model innovation.  The training also emphasized results-based monitoring and evaluation, as well as mentorship strategies to help MSMEs thrive in a rapidly evolving business environment.

Sa business, hindi talaga pwede tumigil matuto. Napakabilis ng pagbabago kaya kung gusto mong magtagal, kailangan open ka sa bagong ideas at trends. Kahit busy bilang mommy at entrepreneur, learning never stops. Yun ang sikreto para makasabay at mag-grow sa negosyo,” said Reynalyn M. Rodelas of Uncle Roy Processed Food Manufacturing.

Atty. Ser Michael Lancelot P. Gamboa and Glenn D. Calinao of RTWPB-MIMAROPA attended the program alongside DOLE MIMAROPA Assistant Regional Director Emerito A. Narag and staff. MSME participants from the region included Uncle Roy Processed Food Manufacturing, Rey’s Bakeshop, NLL Food and Beverages Station, Three Sisters Homemade Banana Chips, Mindoro Occidental Premier Medical Group Multipurpose Cooperative, and Heart of Islands Holdings, Inc.

Through this initiative, RTWPB-MIMAROPA strengthens its support for MSMEs by fueling competitiveness and harnessing innovation in the digital age.
