Nine micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the National Capital Region were recognized as regional champions in the 2025 Regional Productivity Olympics (PO) Awarding Ceremony in Pasay City 14 July 2025.
This year’s winners were all from the Service Sector. In the micro enterprise category, the awardees include Pimp My Nails, PowerBounz Fitness Center, CYO Charcoal Grilled Hotdog & Burgers (Tejeron Burgatory), DreamersCorner PH Events Management Services, and HR Primo Management Services which were all in the micro category. Meanwhile, Gotesco Marketing Inc. was the sole awardee in the medium enterprise category.
Atty. Kim S. Lagcao, RTWPB-NCR Board Secretary, said the winning enterprises exemplified the impact of strategic productivity programs, workforce empowerment, and innovative business practices.
“Their success highlights the vital role of MSMEs in driving inclusive economic growth and competitiveness, not only within the region but also throughout the country,” Board Secretary Lagcao said.
The PO is a national biennial competition organized by the NWPC and RTWPBs to recognize MSMEs with outstanding productivity improvement practices that promote decent employment, inclusive growth, and enterprise development.
Entries were evaluated using two core criteria: Business Excellence (65%) and Employee Engagement and Empowerment (35%).
Regional winners will advance to the national screening, where the national finalists will be selected. These finalists will then face the National Judging Panel, which will determine the national winners. The awarding ceremony is scheduled for October, in line with the celebration of National Quality and Productivity Improvement Month. (Joel Leonard M. Santarina)
