NWPC inaugurates new office

May 19, 2025

DOLE Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma graced the ceremonial blessing of the new NWPC office on 07 April 2025.

In his message, Secretary Laguesma, who also sits as NWPC Chairperson, expressed confidence that the new office of the NWPC will improve its delivery of services to the public.

“I hope that this move will not only provide you with a new home but  but will also inspire you to continue enhancing the delivery of our services,” Secretary Laguesma said.

He took the opportunity to commend the NWPC for its consistent adherence to the policy of regular, moderate, and predictable minimum wage adjustments.

“We are once again under scrutiny, particularly with Labor Day approaching and renewed discussions surrounding the ₱200 across-the-board wage increase. Over the past weekend, during interviews on this matter, I proudly shared that the NWPC has guided the RTWPBs to comply with the President’s directive from last Labor Day to conduct a timely review 60 days before the anniversary of the latest Wage Order. Despite criticisms, we remain steadfast in facing challenges and fulfilling our responsibilities,” he added.

NWPC Executive Director Maria Criselda R. Sy noted that the new office signifies a fresh start for the agency.

“This move marks a new chapter for the NWPC as we continue to serve the Filipino workforce with revitalized energy and commitment. The improved facilities and central location will undoubtedly strengthen our capacity to effectively carry out our mandate,” she said.

The NWPC is now located at the 11th Floor of the Trium Square Building along Sen. Gil J. Puyat Avenue, Pasay City, 1300. This relocation follows nearly 15 years at its previous office in Malate, Manila.

The new office provides enhanced facilities and improved accessibility, fostering a more efficient workspace for NWPC staff, clients, and stakeholders.

The NWPC Committee on Office Transfer oversaw the relocation during the last week of February, managing the transfer of records, furniture, and IT equipment while ensuring uninterrupted operations. Staff collaborated effectively to prevent any service disruptions.

Since its establishment, the NWPC has had three previous office locations: Intramuros, Manila (1989–2000); Ermita, Manila (2000–2010); and Malate, Manila (2010–2025).
