NWPC, RTWPB-I join Labor and Employment Plan Consultation in Ilocos

October 15, 2025

NWPC and RTWPB-I participated in the Regional Mid-Term Labor and Employment Plan (LEP) Review and Consultation held on October 10, 2025 in Bauang, La Union.

The activity was spearheaded by the Bureau of Labor and Employment (BLE) and the DOLE Regional Office I.

During the plenary, Ms. Donnabeth Yodico of the NWPC presented the Progressive Wage Model for the Construction Industry of Singapore, underscoring how its adoption could help redesign the pay structure for lower-wage workers in the Philippines.

RTWPB-I Board Secretary Atty. Romina Boado-Cabrillos, along with Ms. Sarah Marie Michelle Villamil and Ms. Jessa Margareth Guzman-Madiam, joined workshops that focused on reviewing and updating the three LEP priority areas for 2026–2028.

Among the identified LEP strategies were: 1) Ensuring the effective and efficient use of tripartite wage and productivity mechanisms; and 2) Providing technical assistance and capacity-building programs for MSMEs to enhance productivity, sustainability, and competitiveness.

The Mid-Term LEP Reviews and Consultations being conducted nationwide aim to harmonize and align regional labor and employment initiatives with national priorities under the updated Philippine Development Plan 2023–2028 and the Trabaho Para sa Bayan Plan 2025–2034.
