More than 70 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Quezon Province participated in a learning session collaboration program aimed at enhancing productivity and promoting fair compensation during the Quezon National MSME Week Celebration at Tayabas City, Quezon on 08 July 2025.
The activity, organized through the partnership of Department of Trade and Industry Quezon and RTWPB-IVA, provided MSMEs with essential knowledge on productivity improvement, workplace organization, and the latest wage updates to help boost business competitiveness and ensure compliance with labor standards.
Participants underwent an Usapang 2Ps orientation on the wage and productivity programs including “Productivity 101,” the “7S of Good Housekeeping,” and updates on the latest minimum wage orders.
Atty. Katrina Galang-Bacani, Attorney IV, led discussions on productivity and wages. She emphasized that productivity improvements can lead to business sustainability and better income opportunities for workers.
Mr. Edgar Avila, Labor and Employment Officer III, guided participants through the 7S of Good Housekeeping. He highlighted that maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly workspace is key to boosting productivity, achieving continuous improvement for overall business success.
DTI Quezon Provincial Director Julieta Tadiosa and Ms. Anna Marie Quincina, Chief of DTI Quezon’s Business Development Division, expressed their full support for the learning sessions.
“Improving productivity helps businesses cut costs, improve quality, and serve their customers more efficiently,” shared Director Tadiosa.
