Background
The Productivity Olympics (PO) was launched in 2008 as an advocacy program of the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) and the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPBs) to promote productivity and quality and to showcase the best productivity improvement programs and practices of MSMEs nationwide.
Objectives:
To promote productivity and quality, encourage healthy and positive competition, and bridge opportunities for expansion and growth of enterprises by showcasing the best productivity improvement initiatives of MSMEs nationwide.
Qualifications:
- Open to all MSMEs
- Duly registered with appropriate government agencies
- Compliant with general labor and occupational safety and health standards
- Registered in the Annual Establishment Report on Wages (AERW) online system
Award Categories:
Participating MSMEs will be categorized by sector—Agribusiness, Industry, or Services—and by asset size. The asset size classification will be based on the enterprise’s financial statement as of December 31, 2024.

How to join?
Interested MSMEs shall fill out and submit the nomination form to their respective Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards having jurisdiction over the location of the applicant’s enterprise.
Screening Process:
Regional Screening Committee
The members of the RTWPB Board, along with an industry expert, shall evaluate and select the regional MSME winners for submission to the National Screening Committee.
National Screening Committee (NSC)
A tripartite-plus body, composed of representatives from the labor, management, and government sectors, along with an industry expert, shall evaluate and select the national finalists from among the regional MSME winners.
National Judging Panel
A tripartite-plus body, headed by the DOLE Secretary and supported by representatives from the labor, management, and government sectors, along with an industry expert, shall select the national winners from those endorsed by the NSC.
Awards and Incentives:
- 2025 Productivity Olympics Trophy;
- Cash Prize; and
- Priority endorsement to training programs and services of the NWPC/RTWPBs and other DOLE agencies.
