RTWPB-CAR conducts wage orientation, productivity training for MSMEs in Abra

RTWPB-CAR conducted a comprehensive wage orientation for micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) owners and private employees at the ADTEMPCO Conference Hall in Bangued, Abra on January 29, 2026. The event provided crucial guidance on wage regulations and productivity enhancement.

Atty. Carolina Lim-Gamban of RTWPB-CAR kicked off the discussion with an orientation on Wage Order No. CAR-24 and Wage Order No. CAR-DW-07. She also tackled Wage Distortion, ensuring employers understand their obligations when adjusting pay structures.

Ms. Loly Ann C. Benito, Administrative Assistant I, discussed the Productivity-Based Incentive Scheme or PBIS framework that guides businesses in rewarding employees based on performance and gains in efficiency.

Mr. Israel P. Boleyley, Senior Labor and Employment Officer, persented “7S of Good Housekeeping” (Sort, Systematize, Sweep, Standardize, Safety, Self-Discipline, & Sustain) which aims to create organized, safe, and efficient workplaces, directly contributing to higher productivity and operational excellence.

The orientation empowered participants with essential knowledge on compliant wage management and actionable strategies for building a more productive and harmonious workplace, fostering sustainable growth for Abra’s business community. (Albert M. Palma)
