RTWPB Caraga trains 25 MSMEs on LEAN Management and DOLE AMP

Butuan City – The RTWPB-III, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – Caraga, successfully conducted a LEAN Management Training and DOLE Adjustment Measures Program (AMP) Orientation for 25 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the region.

Board Secretary VI Earl dela Victoria underscored the importance of identifying and eliminating non-value-adding activities in the workplace. “LEAN Management is important because it empowers your business to eliminate waste, streamline your operation, and continuously improve your process. With this, you will be able to deliver quality services more efficiently,” he said.

The training equips MSMEs with practical tools to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity, which re key strategies as they avail of the DOLE Adjustment Measures Program.

Among the participants was Jeffrey Bajado, owner of Aldo Farm, who expressed appreciation for the opportunity to enhance his business practices. “It is an honor to learn from our speakers regarding LEAN Management. I was able to learn principles which I can bring not only to my farm, but also into how we serve our guests and the community,” Bajado shared.

In addition to the LEAN training, MSMEs were oriented on the DOLE AMP—a government initiative aimed at helping businesses and workers navigate economic disruptions and transition toward sustainable growth. Regional DOLE AMP focal person Lilian Solis emphasized that the program provides financial assistance to help MSMEs upgrade operations, improve workforce productivity, and adopt innovative practices.

LEAN Management is one of the free training programs offered by RTWPB Caraga to support MSMEs in maximizing customer value while minimizing waste. The initiative forms part of the agency’s broader efforts to promote productivity and decent work across the region. (Atty. Lorainne D. Sacote)
