RTWPB-I holds Financial Analysis training in San Fernando City

Twenty-five MSMEs from the different municipalities of La Union underwent Financial Analysis training on 27 June 2025 at DOLE Region 1 Conference Rm, San Fernando City, La Union, to enhance their understanding in financial analysis particularly in analyzing different types of financial statements and how to use financial analysis as a productivity tool.   

The training covered two parts, first understanding productivity and second, improving productivity through financial analysis. 

Ms. Sarah Villamil of RTWPB-I, discussed the concept of productivity and enunciated that: “Happy Workers, Happy Workplace” which means when workers are well supported and valued as part of the business, they tend to become more efficient, productive and committed. 

Meanwhile, Atty. Romina Boado-Cabrillos, Board Secretary VI of RTWPB-I explained the types of financial statements and to maximize the benefits of financial analysis as a productivity tool.  

“Financial statements summarizes the economic business transactions, on the other hand, financial analysis is the process of evaluating the financial health of your business. Understanding Financial Analysis is a powerful tool to enhance the productivity of your business,” Atty. Boado-Cabrillos said. 

Citing Peter F. Drucker’s principle, she said: “What gets measured gets improved.”  

Improving Productivity Through Financial Analysis focuses on using productivity measurements, financial ratios, and other performance tools to evaluate and drive meaningful business improvements. (Judi Khenn C. Faustino-Mojica)
