Nine outstanding MSMEs in Ilocos Region were recognized for their productivity improvement programs and practices during the 2025 Regional Productivity Olympics (PO) awarding in San Fernando City, La Union on June 16, 2025.
This year’s winners were MS Catbagan Dental Clinic for Micro Enterprise (Service), Lomboy Farms for Small Enterprise (Agribusiness), Halo Halo De Iloko for Small Enterprise (Service), BBs Sweets Company and Uncle Tom Food Product for Small Enterprise (Industry), Bagnos MPC, Women’s Unity for Progress and Farmers MPC, and Bantog Samahang Nayon MPC for Medium Enterprise (Agribusiness), and finally Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. for Medium Enterprise (Industry).
“After submitting voluminous documents, compliance forms and countless collaborations and meetings, these participants have truly earned recognition,” Atty. Romina E. Boado-Cabrillos, Board Secretary of RTWPB-I, said.
The evaluation of the participants was guided by the following criteria: Business Excellence, Productivity Improvement Program, Employee Engagement and Empowerment and Gender Equality, Social Inclusion and Sustainable Development.
The biennial PO aims to promote productivity and quality, encourage healthy and positive competition, and bridge opportunities for expansion and growth of enterprises by showcasing the best productivity improvement initiatives of MSMEs nationwide.
After undergoing regional and national screening, a tripartite body headed by DOLE Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma and assisted by representatives from the labor management and government sectors and a productivity and quality expert will select the 2025 PO national winners.
