Eighty personnel from the Mother Teresa of Calcutta Medical Center in Maimpis, City of San Fernando underwent 7S of Good Housekeeping training on 11 June 2025 as part of efforts to optimize physical workspace for efficiency, safety, and effectiveness.
The Pampanga-based hospital previously had a 5S of Good Housekeeping framework in place prior to attending the training conducted by RTWPB-III.
The training featured a two-part program: an introduction to the concept of productivity, followed by an in-depth discussion of the 7S methodology.
Key topics included common misconceptions about the 7S, the cost implications of an unsafe workplace, and the benefits of implementing a 7S program for both employees and the organization. The importance and practical applications of the 7S were also thoroughly discussed.
Participants were tasked to develop an action plan as a roadmap for their shift from 5S to a full 7S implementation.
The 7S of Good Housekeeping introduces a workplace organization method consisting of different approaches to maintain a tidy, clutter-free work area that fosters efficiency and improves productivity.
