RTWPB-NCR held back-to-back orientations on Wage Order No. NCR-26 for different stakeholders in the region on August 14 and 15, 2025, to equip them with the knowledge to implement the new wage rates and address potential wage distortions.
Mr. Jerome Yanson, Director and Concurrent Board Secretary of RTWPB-NCR, and Ms. Jackilyn Borja facilitated the orientation and learning session for the Makati City and Pasay City Tripartite Industrial Peace Councils (TIPCs), and the Hotel and Management Industry Tripartite Council on August 14, 2025.
Director Yanson and Ms. Borja explained the proper implementation of the Wage Order, strategies for addressing and correcting wage distortion.
Meanwhile, Ms. Froi Angelique Romance spearheaded the learning session for the Valenzuela City TIPC in Valenzuela City on August 15, 2025. Valenzuela City business leaders and representatives from the local labor sector attended the activity.
Wage Order No. NCR-26, which grants a daily minimum wage increase of P50 in the region, took effect on July 18, 2025.
This brings the daily minimum wage rate in NCR from P645 to P695 for the non-agriculture sector, and from P608 to P658 for the agriculture sector, service and retail establishments employing 15 or less workers, and manufacturing establishments regularly employing less than 10 workers.
