Palo, Leyte – The RTWPB-VIII joined the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and the distribution of grants for the DOLE-Adjustment Measures Program (DOLE-AMP) to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) on 9 September 2025, in Palo, Leyte.
The ceremony was spearheaded by the DOLE RO VIII. A total of 12 beneficiaries received financial assistance in the form of checks, witnessed by DOLE RO VIII officials and RTWPB representatives.
Four out of the 12 beneficiaries were endorsed and assisted by RTWPB-VIII in preparing and completing their DOLE-AMP project proposals. Also, six of these 12 MSMEs had previously benefitted from the Board’s productivity training and technical assistance, with the rest set to receive the same support in the future.
The ceremony reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing timely and sustainable support to MSMEs, helping them cope with business disruptions and fostering resilience in local industries.
In her message of support, Atty. Marie Ronette Salve Barreda-Campo from RTWPB-VIII emphasized the Board’s unwavering commitment to continue assisting MSMEs not only through the DOLE-AMP but also by providing productivity enhancement programs and technical guidance. She highlighted that initiatives like these are essential in helping businesses remain competitive, create jobs, and uplift communities across Eastern Visayas.

- Juanito Eco Farm School for Practical Agriculture
- MLS Food Processing
- Shirley Food Processing
- Super Jed Food Processing
- Balay ni Tatay Farm
- Gawisan Abaca Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative (GAFAMCO)
- Northern Samar Fisherman Cooperative
Through this collaborative initiative, DOLE RO VIII and RTWPB-VIII continue to uphold the dignity of labor, strengthen MSMEs, and empower communities across Eastern Visayas by ensuring that enterprises not only recover but also thrive through sustained productivity and innovation. (Joben S. Sabay)
