RTWPB-VIII participates in Baseline Assessment on Digital Transformation for MSMEs

August 28, 2025

RTWPB-VIII participated in the first batch of Baseline Assessment on Digital Transformation Program for program managers and implementers on August 18 – 20, 2025.

This program is part of the DOLE Digital Transformation Development Program for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), an initiative spearheaded by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in partnership with the Asian Institute of Management (AIM).

The activity aims to establish baseline metrics for MSME digital transformation, ensure a consistent implementation strategy, and retool program managers with new approaches to innovation. It also provides them with the knowledge and strategies needed to help MSMEs transition toward digital transformation.

During the three-day session, participants underwent a comprehensive assessment of their digital transformation readiness. The activity provided a platform to evaluate existing systems, identify gaps, and craft actionable strategies that align with the evolving needs of businesses in the digital economy.

Through this initiative, RTWPB-VIII reaffirms its commitment to enhancing service delivery and supporting MSMEs in adopting innovative solutions that improve productivity, competitiveness, and sustainability.

The insights gained from the assessment will serve as a foundation for future programs and interventions, ensuring that the region remains responsive to the demands of the digital age. (Joben S. Sabay)
